The Col de la Biche, little brother of the Col du Grand Colombier!
The Col de la Biche or Golet de la Biche (1,325 m) is a formidable pass (13.4 km ascent for 953 m ascent from Gignez) located in the Grand Colombier range, offering a steady ascent in a forest environment with gradients of around 8-10% from the start in Gignez (commune of Corbonnod), rising to 12% by the fourth kilometer before dropping slightly to the summit, with even a descent by the twelfth kilometer. The summit offers the pleasure of panoramic views of Mont Blanc and the Alpine peaks.
Successively classified as Hors Catégorie and Première Catégorie, it saw Slovenian Primoz Roglic take the lead on the Nantua-Chambéry stage in 2017, and Frenchman Pierre ROLLAND on the 15th Lyon - Grand Colombier stage in 2020.
