A RIVER’S STRENGTH

Go for a one hour ride aboard the Seyssel with a guide and discover the history of navigation in Seyssel and nearby. Beyond the Seyssel dam, the Rhône is no longer navigable, so we offer you to continue by overland route to the Génissiat dam-power station to discover this hydropower plant.
Enter in the heart of this industrial tool, close to the turbines, the transformers, you will also discover the Rhône river thanks to an immersive movie. This summer, a temporary exposition will present you the Génissiat dam’s architect: Albert Laprade. The visit will be made with a guide speaker.
The day will have a lunch at the Seyssel restaurant.
A river’s strength on 20th July and 3rd August – to the discovery of the Rhône in late morning (11:00 am). You will continue with a lunch at the “Bouchon du P’tit Pont” restaurant. After the lunch, you will need to go to the Génissiat dam at 3:00 pm for a two-hour guided tour. Christel will accompany you throughout this day of discovery around the river.
