Boat and bike!
The Haut-Rhône territory offers you a huge choice of marked hiking trails, for all types of people. Among them, the ViaRhôna, a bicycle path that will make you leave from the Léman Lake shores to the Mediterranean beaches. For this occasion, Haut-Rhône Tourisme decided to make you discover this beautiful itinerary.
Leave for a boat and bike cruise between Seyssel and Chanaz the whole day. Get on board or rent a bike, go down by boat to Chanaz and go up with the ViaRhôna and/or the other way around.
The destination has a passage of 3 locks and the duration of the trip is about 3h.
- Bike and boat day – boat ride then return by electric bike or bike on 9th July and 13rd August – Boat ride from Seyssel (boat’s departure at 9:00 am – arrival at Chanaz at 12:30 pm) and return by electric bike or with your own bike from Chanaz to Seyssel in the afternoon. (Arrival at Seyssel at the latest at 5:00 pm for the electric bikes’ handover). A picnic option can be suggested to you for 13€.
- Bike and boat day – descent by bike or electric bike then return by boat on the 9th July and 13rd August – electric bicycle descent or with your own bike from Seyssel (departure at 9:00 am) and return by boat from Chanaz (boat’s departure at 1:00 pm) – arrival at Seyssel towards 4:00 pm. A picnic option can be suggested to you for 13€.

For the less sportive ones, you have the possibility to do a round trip the day between Seyssel and Chanaz (duration: about 6h30). You will have only one hour of break in Chanaz at lunchtime.
